Prowled along the footpath to a busy café

The people she sees, so photographic
Nourished by constant footpath traffic.
Meeting for coffee is the urban flavour
Passing time, their ritual behaviour.

Inspiration in flight, in this urban delight
Tables colours and shapes, are filtered through the bright.
Under umbrellas, like sprouting flowers
Invite her to sketch away the hours.

The sun shines bright; she has her views alight.
New ideas come into sight.
Pen to paper, she draws objects and space.
Cut-out paintings, carved into place.

Taking risks and altering rules.
Taking risks using carpentry tools.
Taking risks, creating artistic jewels.
