Reputation & Livelihood  2016

John Hipwell

Producer

Reputation & Livelihood is an experimental video art work created in 2004, exploring how a professional artist builds and sustains a reputation & livelihood. The video footage is based on interviews and images recorded at the 2002 Melbourne Art Fair. Re engaging an audience in this video ten years after the video was created allows the viewer to question history and ask, has the process of building an artistic reputation and livelihood changed over the decade?
